15 months

I wasn’t planning on doing the month posts anymore, but I decided I want to share my happiness and excitement on all the fun, smart things Zoey is learning to do! So yes, this will be a post bragging about how smart I think my little girl is. :)

I feel like I’m forgetting things that are happening.

Zoey still is our good little sleeper.  She goes to be between 7:15-7:45pm and we wake her up between 6:15-6:30am during the week.  On weekends she will sleep till between 7-7:30am.  We try to get in two naps a day still, but most of the time on weekends she get one.  During the week, I just let Mrs. Hudson do what she wants in regards to her naps.

She is doing better with drinking out of a cup.  She still doesn’t get as much milk in a day as I would prefer but she does ok.  Some days are better than others.  This past weekend I think that’s all she drank was milk and hardly at anything for meals.

We have her pretty much off baby food except for lunch during the week.  I’m still not sure what to send for her that she will eat well on her own to Mrs. Hudson’s.  So I just sent baby food for her and she does ok, I think. I am very thankful Zoey will eat whatever we are eating.  Very rarely do I have to fix her something for dinner other than what we are having. She loves ANYTHING with cheese in it.  she gets that honestly too.  I love cheese.  She also prefers her food to be spicy and have flavor.  I’m not sure if she doesn’t like the texture of ground beef or what but she wasn’t keen on taco meat, spaghetti, and bbq meatballs.  So far these are the only foods she wouldn’t even really try.  Yes, I said that right, she is not a fan of spaghetti.  Here is a picture to prove it.

Beginning of dinner.  She looks interested.

After dinner.  While it looks like she ate, she did not.  It was a fight the whole time which resulted in her being a big mess.

Zoey continues to be such a good girl.  We just let her roam the house without having to baby proof it.  We are so lucky that she does not get into things she shouldn’t.  Now, when we move this is going to be a tad different.  We will have to get baby gates for the stairs.  She loves to just walk around exploring.  She plays very well on her own which is a blessing.  In the mornings after I leave Brian will let her play instead of sitting in the exersaucer.

It’s hard for me to remember all the words she can say.  She knows “ma-ma”, “da-da”, “no”, “uh-oh”, “one”, “two”, “five”, “six”, “nine”, “snack”, “purple”, “kitty”, “cat”.  I know there are more, but I’m forgetting them.

She helps dress herself at times.  She does a great job at putting her arms through the arm holes of her shirts/dresses.  She tries to brush her hair and put her bow in.  She loves shoes and tries to put them on when she finds them laying around.

She is starting to play more with her Little People toys.  I love that she pretend plays with them.  She LOVES doing puzzles.  I have been so impressed with how well she is doing at putting them together.  Her hand-eye coordination is getting better.  She is learning to fit the pieces in their spots more.   She knows that there is a right side up to letters, pictures, and numbers. When she is putting together a puzzle she will turn the piece right side up and study it and place it in its spot or she will turn her wooden blocks around to look at the number, letters, or pictures on them.

She is starting to recognize letters when she sees them.  We have been spelling her name to her and showing her the letters as we say them and she is getting to where she will try to spell it back to you and point to the letters.  I didn’t know she could recognize them until we were playing at her toy box and she started pointing to the letters of her name (it is carved into the box) and trying to say them.

This weekend she showed up how she can stack her wooden blocks.  I had no idea she could do this and was so surprised when she stacked 4 together.  The next time she showed her daddy she could do it and did 5 blocks for him.

I know this is a long post, but if you are still with me, here are a few more photos of my sweet girl!

Cookie Time!

This is the girl who wouldn’t even TRY a donut hole.  I tried to “force” her to eat a bite but she wouldn’t open her mouth.

Taking a break watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She is starting to learn how to work my phone and ipad.  She gets super excited when I let her play with the ipad.  The other day she was trying to jump up and down with excitement.

Chilling in her wagon at the Don’t Be Cruel BBQ fest a couple of weekends ago.  We love having wagon, she will sit in it better than her stroller.

One of her favorite things to do; just walk around.  We let her go nuts at the BBQ fest.

Picture Brian sent me this morning on their way out the door!  How cute is she!?

Another new trick she showed up a month or so ago; that she can suck on the food pouches. Now if we can just get her to drink out of a straw.

She is so cute! I love denim jacket and sneakers. The wagon looks like fun.
