Father/Daughter Ball 2014

In June, Brian took Zoey to the Father/Daughter Ball.  This was their first year to go.  They went with 2 other father/daughter couples from church who are roughly the same age as Zoey.  The girls, Zoey, Claire, and Wesley, are in Bible class together so they know each other well.  I knew this would be fun for her to play with her friends.  I do believe they both had a blast!

The week before the Ball she kept talking about it and was dying to go.  We had to show her about every day on the calendar what day it was today and how many more days till the Ball.  She would say she is Cinderella, Daddy is Prince Charming, and I was a horse. Finally by the time the day arrive, I become the Fairy Godmother.  I got her dressed and she LOVED her dress! Brian actually picked it out for her; he is the BEST!  She never really has twirled in dresses until this one.  I got a few videos of her after she got dressed. I know overload, but she is so CUTE in them!

I tried to get a good picture of the two of them, but Zoey wouldn’t look at me.

Several of the princesses were there.  In true Zoey fashion, it took her a bit to warm up to everything.  Brian took a few pictures and sent them to me through out the night.  Oh, did I mention, mothers are not allowed in the building at all during the night.  I find that sweet they want to make it all about the Daddy’s and their girls.

Meeting Belle, you can tell this is at the beginning and Zoey is not warmed up yet.

Brian said she walked up to Elsa on her own. She was very excited about seeing her! I know it doesn't look like it but she was.

Pumpkin Carving

The weekend before Halloween, Brian and Zoey carved her pumpkin.  I loved watching them do this together.

Sysco Family Weekend

Back in October, Sysco had a family weekend in Memphis.   Friday night was bowling night.  They put us up in a hotel for the night; this was our first night to stay in a hotel with Zoey AND the same room with her.  We have always put her in her room and her bed (or another room while we were at my parents).

She didn’t know what to think of the room at first.

She had a blast at the bowling alley!  We tried to get her face painted, but she wouldn’t sit still long enough nor did she like it.

The biggest hit of the night was Ski Ball!  Thank goodness we had unlimited access to the games; she would have cost us a fortune in this game.

Brian did a little bowling with her too.  She loved it too!

Saturday was the Memphis Zoo, but as we were pulling up to park, it started a down pour.  We decided to skip this and go to the Children’s Museum.  Stay tune for the post on it!

Build-A-Bear

One rainy Sunday afternoon, Brian took Zoey to Build-A-Bear for her first time.  He was playing with her with our Build-A-Bears we got from my nieces before we got married and decided Zoey needed one of her own.

Zoey picked out a Monkey to build! (There are about 20 different ones lined up on the wall and Brian showed her EVERYONE until she reacted the most to one.)

Zoey LOVES Zola!  She got upset when we had to give her to the lady to checkout; she did not want to let go of her. Brian is hoping Zola becomes her favorite stuffed animal.
