The new few posts will be all about our trip to Hawaii! I am finally sitting down and going through all the pictures. I hope I can remember everything from them so I can share it all with you. Most of the post will be pictures with captions just to make it easier. Hope you enjoy!
We stayed at the Ilikai Hotel. It is one of the older hotels on Waikiki Beach, but the rooms are HUGE. I completely forgot to take a picture of ours. The bathrooms were roomy too; two showers.
The next few pictures are the view from our room.
The Hilton was next door to us. Instead of having their Luau on the beach they had it on the rooftop of their parking deck. We could view it from our balcony each night. I think I would be very disappointed if I was paying the money to stay at the Hilton and this was my luau.
Right before getting on the tour bus to go to Pearl Harbor.
The Punchbowl; National Cemetery.
I picked a bad seat on the bus and when you are on the tour bus you can’t stop while in the Punchbowl.
The USS Arizona Memorial
I was VERY disappointment that the water was muddy that day. They had been getting lots of rain in the mountains so it was muddy running off the mountains. All we could see was the parts still above water.
We were still able to see the oil coming up from the ship. Still makes me sad that we were not able to see the full ship.
View of Pearl Harbor City from the Arizona.
Pearl Harbor City
Part of the torpedo after it was disarmed.
The only intact torpedo which was aimed at the Arizona.
Brian with a mime in downtown Waikiki.
Stay tuned to more!!!
