Beginning to feel like Christmas

Today is a little warmer than it has been. It has been COLD this week. So much is going on all the time now. Granted the holidays are normally busy, but this year seems extra busy. Maybe it has to do with planning a wedding and getting the house ready. This weekend we are doing double duty with holiday parties. Have a feeling we will be doing that a lot this month!

Last night we put the tree up in Tupelo. This year I’m doing a small one at my house since Brian wanted a tree and didn’t have any ornaments. I didn’t see a point in getting lots of ornaments for a tree and never use them again (unless I decide to do 2 trees next year), so I had a small tree that I bought last year that I could put up here. We did a live tree and I LOVE it. I think that we might have to do this every year. Normally the lights are the part I hate doing, but with a live tree it was not bad at all. Maybe it’s due to you can’t go up and down the branches as well like I do with a fake one. Also I noticed that the tree doesn’t look as full as mine did last year. I guess the live ones are bigger, or maybe it’s just me. :)

The past couple of days I have woken up with a sore throat. I’m hoping that I don’t get sick; too much to do to be sick. I need to run and get some meds to help fin this off. Seems like about half the people in the office are sick (and of course they continue to come to work).

I’m about halfway done with my Christmas shopping. Maybe I can finish it in the next couple of weeks. Next week is an exciting week: the new appliances are supposed to be delivered. I’m just hoping they fit correctly.
