Sir Antony's--Birthday Extra

Ok, since I just realized I did not have enough details about the experience at Sir Antony's I'll do a quick review of it.

When I first heard we were doing the whole Sir Antony's deal, I had no idea what to expect. I could not imagine what could be great about some place in Pontotoc. We all gathered at the office at 6ish to begin the trek to the boondocks. I was beginning to think we would never get there.

After arriving and meeting Sir Antony, (he poses us for a group picture before we sit down. (If you know any of the people in this group, this could turn out to be a very interesting photo). Once we are all squared away at the table which is located in part of the kitchen/dinning room so you can watch him cook) Sir goes over the menu with us (see below for the menu used for our meal). We walk through each course to place our choices (dessert and coffee is not taking at this time). It was so hard to choose what to eat for each meal. I tried to order something different than Brian so we could share. The only course I wish I had gotten something different was the entree. I ordered the salmon in filo pastry with a red peppercorn sauce; when I wish I had gotten the rack of lamb like most everyone else did. Don't get me wrong, the salmon was good, but I couldn't eat it all due to the pastry (yes I would have preferred it with out the pastry crust). I think the best part of the night was when Jane got a hold of the lemoncello. Nothing expresses her happiness the picture we captured.

The meal was divine! We had a wonderful time sitting around and eating and having fun. Even if the meal took 5 and a half hours, I would never have known it until I looked at the time and saw it was 11:30 and we still had not had dessert and coffee.

If you ever have a group of 8-12 people and trying to find a fun new place to go and have all night, I recommend this to everyone! It's a dining experience you should do. Oh, tip, the meal is roughly $50/person (which I find reasonable for the amount of food and type of food you get) and he prefers one person pay for it all and you just pay the person back.
