Friday night started my birthday weekend. I'm always happy when my birthday is the weekend of Labor Day so I can celebrate all weekend.
Since as many of you know, there are several of us who have birthdays the end of August/beginning of September we all celebrate together. This year Karen planned for all of us to go to Sir Antony's. If you haven't heard of him, let me tell you a little about him. Sir is a knight from England who now lives in Pontotoc and cooks for groups in his home. It is a European meal experience. I wish I had some of the pictures from the night, but Karen was the only one who took her camera. Normally the meal takes 3.5 hours (or so Sir suggests you prepare for) but it took us 5.5 hours.
Brian decided to give me my birthday present Friday since we would be meeting up in Tupelo Monday for my birthday. He beat me home Friday from work so he "hide" my presents around the house so I would have to find them. They were all in their "place". I still do not know how I noticed the first one, but I did. We were laying on couch and I looked up and saw the first season of Heroes sitting in its place on the shelf. When I was getting ready for the evening, I walk into my bathroom and sitting on the sink was the perfume I had discovered I actually liked; Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. I thought that was all, but I was mistaken. I was in the kitchen cleaning up some (I did not have time that week to clean and I felt like my house was a MESS!). Well, I was walking about of the kitchen and glanced over and saw 2 boxes sitting there, 4 glasses of the Reidel O glasses.
I was surprised at all he did. I never expected any of this. Brian must have been paying attention really well, because I don't ever remember telling him I liked Heroes, must less say I wanted the perfume.
More to come of the birthday weekend.

one starving musician came by to say: Nothing beats a 5.5 hour meal, euro style.
