Is it really Friday?

What a past couple of days it has been. Yesterday I think I caught up on sleep and was a complete bum all day long.

Reason behind this you may ask, I decided Wednesday night would not be complete without a trip to the ER. That's right readers, I ended up in the ER. We were all out for Jane's birthday and was about to eat and the pain hit me. It was Déjà vu all over again from when I had gallstone attacks. I thought it was pass and was trying to tough it out. Jane finally decided that I needed to go to the ER. So off we go. I hope none has to experience this type of pain unless it is during labor (supposedly kidney stones are worse pain than labor from what my mom says). Finally, they gave me a GI cocktail and a lortab. I started to feel better since the pain was away. Well, it must be an unspoken rule or something that you have to spend at least 4 hours in the ER even when there is no one there but you. All in the end, of course they didn't find anything in the CT scan or my blood work, which of course is good, but come on why do I have the pain. They just think it was bad acid reflux. So now I'm back on my medicine, not only once a day but twice. Sigh.

I will say that it did feel good just being a bum yesterday. I laid in bed till about lunch watching TV, then moved to the couch to watch Sex and the City all afternoon and night. I did take a small break to watch the State game, but that was just embarrassing for them.

Today I do feel better, just my arm hurts where they popped a vein trying to put an IV in. Lovely.

Tonight should be fun at the birthday group dinner. Each year we do dinner to celebrate all of our birthdays that are end of August/beginning of September. Should be a new experience since we are going to Sir Anthony's in Pontotoc. I'll let everyone know my review of this interesting dining experience.

Have a great Friday and a wonderful long weekend!

Sorry you had to make a trip to the ER. Whatever makes the pain go away.

I'm going to be the bum on Monday.

Sir Anthony's... what's that? You mean there's somewhere to eat in this little hick town that I don't know about?
