Being a little green.

Some of you might have noticed that I have a new layout. The reason behind this is I was getting tired of the other and all the brightness and I wanted to do my part in saving a little energy and be a little green. So I went with a all black background and cool colors.

Speaking of being green, if you have started using canvas shopping bags when going to the grocery store or any store for that manner that has plastic bags (or paper ones), please do. I have found a great site, EcoBags, (thanks Allie!) that sells all types of canvas bags for CHEAP! I purchased the small produce bags to test them out and LOVE them. I do recommend though getting the large ones if you are going to be using them. The great thing about these are they help keep the veggies fresh! In addition to the produce bags I purchased the Natural Canvas Tote. This is great because not only does it replace the plastic bags, but you can use it for anything. I plan on getting several more for this reason.

I forgot how much I enjoy doing my part in helping preserve the earth. I have gotten back to recycling as well. I need to do more than just this as well.

Have a happy Hump Day!

I hate to burst your bubble, but a few weeks ago, Google looked into the numbers at Blackle and found that they actually increase energy consumption.

I'm trying to do the "Green Thing" too. I bought a bike.

Yea, the whole blackle thing was great... back when people used CRTs. Caused CRTs save electricity by not displaying light, but LCDs have to energize all the pixels that need to be black, thereby using more electricity. Sorry chief.

I'm doing my part to save the earth by drinking less bottled water and refilling the bottles I use. Saves space in the landfill and wastes less plastic. Plus I don't feel like such a loser for buying so much bottled water when there's a bountiful supply coming from my faucet.
