May 19, Baby Girl turned 5 months! For the first time, time felt like it went by quickly. I’m not sure if it was due to we had so much going on during that time or what. Thankfully it’s slowed back down. I’m not a 100% sure on how much she weighs or how tall she is, but I would guess she is about 15 pounds now and almost 27 inches long. Girl is tall and skinny!

Zoey started eating food this month. After her 4 month appointment we started feeding her cereal and she took to it so quickly we were able to start feeding her food. I was surprised the doctor said to give her food as soon as she was able to swallow the cereal well. We have worked our way through all the fruits and vegetables. She LOVES vegetables! So far she would rather have veggies over fruit. She loves apples and pears, and will tolerate peaches (although we did do prunes this week and she liked them after she got over the first few bites). She is not a fan of bananas. I have been sneaking them in her cereal in the mornings though. Speaking of cereal, we had to switch to the cereal with fruit due to she started screaming bloody murder as soon as we sat her down to eat in the mornings. I’m trying to finish up the box of plan by putting fruit in it. She is getting to be a pro at eating food. She tries to feed herself, but I’m not ready for her to make that big of a mess. I’m still not sure what to do about her bottles, I probably should cut it down from 5 to 4 a day. It’s getting to be very time consuming to feed her. She won’t take a bottle well if we give it to her after giving her food, so we have to wait about an hour before giving it to her.
She has started to scoot places; on her back. Anytime you place her on her tummy, she immediately turns over; she prefers her back. She has rolled over once from her back to tummy, but prefers to just lay on her side and scoot around to get what she wants. I keep showing her how to roll around to see if she will pick up on it but nothing yet. Anytime you are holding her or working with her to sit by herself, she tries to stand. I have begun to work with her at standing by herself holding on to something, but she is still a little wobbly and gets too excited and starts flapping her arms instead of holding on.

I feel like I’m missing things that she has done, but nothing else comes to mind right now. Hard to believe in a few short weeks she will be 6 months old!!
