I wanted to blog about Mother’s Day the weekend of it, but I also wanted to wait till my gift came in; I’ll get to that in a bit.
My first Mother’s Day was wonderful! Brian was a sweet husband all weekend. Saturday morning, he tried to let me sleep in while he took care of Zoey, but I felt guilty letting him do that since it was a Saturday and she woke up earlier than we would have liked. He did go and get Chick-fil-a for breakfast since he wouldn’t be able to on Sunday. Saturday we went to Gum Tree in the morning. It was perfect weather; not too hot and not cold. Zoey loved watching everyone around. Of course since we were downtown, I had to stop in Ladybugs to see if she had any new dresses that I thought Zoey had to have. Of course she did. Thankfully it was all on sale. After a little shopping we decided to try eating lunch at Romie’s BBQ. We got there are the perfect time. Just a few minutes after we sat down, it started to get crowded. Zoey was perfect. She had her bottle then decided it was time for a nap. Chad, Allie, Amber, and Brandon joined us later for a bit. Afterwards, we had to run to Oxford to pick up my laptop so I could work from home the following Monday. We got to stop by and see Lisa for a bit and their new house!
Dennis and Nona came over to watch Zoey that night so we could have a date night. We got to go out to eat and watch The Avengers. Great movie by the way!
Sunday morning, Brian and Zoey gave me the sweetest cards and my gift. Sadly it wasn’t in yet, but it came in a few short days later!!

I LOVE IT!!!! I did feel bad about wanting the new one since my current Nook was still find and dandy, but it really would solve our nightly disagreement. I like to read in bed, since that is one of the few chances I have to read while Brian likes the lights off to watch TV and go to bed before I do. So, while it’s my Mother’s Day gift, it’s a little gift to himself too.
I am so thankful I am blessed to be a mother to Zoey! She has changed our life so much and still does every day!

I didn't know they had one with a glowlight. I'm on the fence about getting an ereader, good to know! we have the same issue at night with the lights.
I love it!! I had (it's now B's) the first generation Nook and loved it. Now I cam stay up later reading than Brian wants to without getting the eye or the tossing around as a hint to turn off the light.
