Oh, my…Some sore muscles.

Oh, my.  I think almost every muscle in my body is sore today.  Brian and I spent majority of Saturday raking leaves and about 3 hours Sunday raking.  The backyard is all raked and 2 flower beds.  We still have to do the side yard, driveway, front yard, and back flower bed.  All this “spring cleaning” of the yard has made me excited about Spring.  I am getting all kinds of ideas for the yard.  I have two full shaded bed and one mostly sun bed.  I need to read up on which plants work well in shade since I’m not as familiar with them as others.  I can’t wait to share before and after pictures of the beds with everyone!

This weekend I also repainted the light post next to the driveway.  My dad suggested that I spray paint it to freshen it up.  Now why I never thought of that I don’t know.  I have a new love for spray paint; it was SO easy to freshen up the post.  Then it crossed my mind, why not use the rest to freshen up the railing by the back doors.  Wow, it’s amazing how a fresh coat of paint makes a HUGE difference.  I ran out of paint, so I picked up some more to finish the railing.  I also want to put a fresh coat on the lights on either side of the front door.

I have a new project (that I hope to start and finish this upcoming weekend) I am looking forward to sharing with you.  It just sort of came to me this past weekend.

Spring is coming! Aren't you ready? I know I am! I bet the light post and patio railing look great with a new coat of paint.

Leah, I raked our tiny yard in our rental last summer (Magnolia always dropping leaves) and I couldn't believe how sore I was! My hamstrings and my back. Good lord! I'm soooo ready for spring ya'll. Am interested in some climbing vines. Look forward to seeing your garden photos!
