We had a great weekend! Friday night we had a “high school” style date. We sent to dinner at the Varsity Grille (which I like better now that they have changed their atmosphere and menu to be more like a sports bar than a “up-scaled” sports bar) and walked around the mall for a little bit. We came home and watched 17 Again. I do not recommend the movie. It was a let down. Saturday I had a busy day planned. I helped host a baby shower for Laura that afternoon. For some reason I thought I would have more time in the morning go run some errands (like figuring out what to get Brian for his birthday), but I was wrong. I had just enough time to go to my lip/brow appointment and then pick up the reminding items I needed for the shower. By the time I got home it was about 11ish and I ate a quick lunch and got ready to be over at Ashley’s by 12:30ish. We had a great turn out for the shower and Laura got tons of wonderful items for little Bryce! I have been dying to give her the blanket I made for her and she loved it! I later met up with Brian and Tommy at OVPC. Yesterday we watched the Saints win their FIRST SUPER BOWL! I’m so happy for them, it’s always good to see a different team win than the same each year.
Tomorrow is my sweet hubby’s birthday! He will be a whopping 32 years-old. I some how got out of (not really) baking him a birthday cake. He does have a rain check for one later on. (We have a half eaten red velvet cake at home already and he doesn't like having so many sweets in the house because he feels like he needs to eat them all.) Tonight we are celebrating with his parents by going out to dinner, then tomorrow I’m off (for a doctor appt) to prep for his birthday and finally decide on something to get him and we are having a birthday happy hour at the Stables. If you are in Tupelo around 4:30 on, stop by the Stables and join us!
Friday we are headed to Clarksdale for our annual Valentine’s Day weekend get away. We are looking forward to a weekend away and not having to be anywhere pressing. I have some how convince Brian to take me to McCarty’s and Peter’s on Saturday. I don’t really need new pottery, but I love to look. I’m a little frustrated that I have yet to hear back from Madidi’s on our reservation. I sent an email last week to book one and never got a response back and I called yesterday and left a message confirming them and still no response. I’m just going to hope for the best!!
Hope everyone has had a happy Monday!!!
