Whew, what a past couple of weeks! I feel like I have been on high speed the whole time. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s! I’ll post pictures later when I get a chance to upload them. First I want to following in Lisa and Casey’s footsteps and remember 2009.
#1 Most Memorable Moment: Our wedding. Having all our friends and family around us to celebrate and share this new adventure meant so much to us. I hardly remember the ceremony, but I hear that is common. I will say the low key after-party was great, no pressure to do anything but have fun with friends. Oh, and getting my picture made (in my wedding dress) with Dexter McCluster was pretty cool too.
#2 Biggest Discovery: This is hard. I honestly cannot think of anything new that I discovered about myself or anything. Sad.
#3 Biggest Mistake: Hmm…probably allowing people to get the best of me and giving people more chances than they honestly deserve. I try to give people plenty of chances to prove themselves but I have to learn when enough is enough.
#4 Biggest Accomplishment: This came at the end of the year…buy my first car. Well it wasn’t just me, but it was my first time to buy a new car with anyone. My parents bought all the cars I have had up until now.
#5 Best Movie: Hmm..this is a toss up. New Moon and The Blind Side rank as the top ones, but The Hangover is too funny not to be mentioned as well.
#6 Best Song: One song that I can listen to over and over again but it not a new one from 2009 is either Paparazzi or Love Game by Lady Gaga, but the best new song of this year (to me) is Meet Me At the Equinox by Death Cab. Here are a few more: The Right Place by Monsters of Folk. This is a great new band. It is composed of Conor Oberst, Jim James, M. Ward, and Mike Mogis. The whole album is great, I highly recommend it.
#7 Best Meal: Hmm. This is hard since I cannot remember any meal that really stood out. Two meals that stand out the most are from our honeymoon. One was from Le Celliaer in Epcot. This was a steakhouse in Canada. Some of the best steak ever! The other meal was at ‘Ohana. This restaurant in the Polynesian resort. It is a family style meal. The food was wonderful…who knew Polynesian cuisine was so good.
#8 Best Book: I’m trying to think of what books I read this year. I finished reading the Twilight series at the beginning of the year and they are all great. The Devil’s Punchbowl was a great read. I love Greg Iles and he never fails to disappoint.
#9 What Made Me Laugh: It’s never a dull moment in our house. Brian keeps me rolling all the time. Rachel always wonders if I’m laughing all the time. Our nieces make me laugh too. Lauren especially. She is the witty one.
+1…My Biggest Wish for 2010: Become more active in the community. We have so many opportunities to volunteer but I feel like we don’t do enough.

I didn't know you took your picture with Dexter McCluster! Where did you see him on your wedding day? I'd love to see that!
It was later that night at the Rib Cage. We had tried to go to Larry's for dinner but they wouldn't let us in without paying a cover (20 bucks even though I was in my dress and Brian still in his suit) so we went down to Rib Cage.
