Happy Fall!

What a busy weekend it has been! Friday night we started out with a Halloween party at the Farrars’. We had a blast! There were so many great costumes and I’m sad that I didn’t get shots of everyone. Here are the pictures from the party. Saturday was spent running errands and cleaning house. Derek and Shelly came over for chili later that night. My chili was pretty good if I do say so myself. I took a few ideas from ones we really liked at Chili Fest and created my own.

Last week, Brian and I invested in a dehumidifier mainly for our bedroom. We do not have any vents in the bathrooms and our bathroom is small, so all the moisture stays in the air. In less than 24 hours we removed 50 pints of moisture from our bedroom. Scary to think that much water has been sitting in the air!!!!! We are still trying to get the humidity down to a good level and I think now we have removed a total of 150 pints from the house (in 4 days); mainly from our room. Who knew you need things like this and I would be so excited about something like this?

I’m so ready to decorate for Christmas that I can hardly stand it!!!! I keep seeing so many fun ideas and items I want to buy, but trying really hard to hold off until I put out what I have now. I have to finish my advent calendar garland I started last year, but that won’t take too long. In a way I wish we were not going to the Egg Bowl this year (we wouldn’t miss it but still) so I could spend ALL day that Saturday decorating for Christmas. Doesn’t seem like month is long enough for me to enjoy the holidays, but I know I cannot put them up any sooner, plus I have my Thanksgiving decorations out.
