I finally finished up Sadie's blanket last week. After a long few months of working on it, it's finally finished! This is the first blanket I completed, but second I started. I started one for me back in the fall because I said that the first one I did I wanted to be for me (since this would be the largest project I had knitted), but then Rachel had to go and get pregnant. :) I waited around till I found out what she was having so I could pick the pattern and color. I learned a lot from this project. It taught me new patience (if you ever want to gain more patience, knit). I had to start over 4 or 5 times, take out rows when I messed up, fix errors, and more. At times I had to put it down for a few days because I wasnt' in the mood to deal with taking out rows upon rows. It's done and I couldn't be more excited to give it to her. My one rule (for anyone I give one to) is the child must be allowed to use it and play with it. I know people like to put things up or put them on "display" but this is not one of those. I want the little one to be able to enjoy it!
Here are a couple of pictures of the finished blanket.
