The House

What an exhusting weekend! Thankfully it was a 3-day weekend for me. Here are the highlights and pictures of the house. I'm too tired to upload pictures of the backyard, but I will soon.

1. Clean all day Friday.

2. Started tapping of the den Friday to begin paint on Saturday.

3. Picked out paint and got it for the den.

4. Was ready to paint den, but Tommy told me I couldn’t until he fixed the wall. Originally the wall next to the kitchen was open into the den, but they later closed it up, and it’s starting to crack some.

5. Think we have hardwood floors in the hall and back to rooms.

6. Tommy and David decided to look for us, and guess what!!! HARDWOOD floors in the hall and rooms.

7. Ripped up carpet, fine with the floors noting being 100% “nice”.

8. Master bedroom, only have hardwood around the edges and the closet. Cut the carpet to show the hardwood for the room.

9. Moved Brian’s stuff in, got the guest room set up where he will be living for now and everything else is in the dining room/den.

10. Tommy started fixing the wall in the den and every other hole or crack in the house. He is going to be our saving grace and a HUGE help with fixing up things! It’s great having friends who do this for a living and love helping out friends. I am VERY thankful we have such wonderful friends.

11. Got one window painted with 1 coat of paint.

12. LOTS more to do in the upcoming months.

13. Have original blueprints/floor plans of the house. It's so neat to see the history of it. Oh, and we have all the original documents, recipts for building materials, deeds, loan apps, etc. Very interesting stuff.

14. Found out we have an attic. Had no idea. It's floor so we have tons of storage space now!

15. Painted the windows in the den since I couldn't paint the walls yet.
