Sweet Home Alabama

I have to brag on my Mom for a second. For one of her many quilt clubs, they had a quilt challenge “Sweet Home Alabama”. They all had a certain piece of fabric that must be included in the quilt. She got lucky, it was red. Over the past couple of years she and my Dad have been traveling the state taking pictures of all the courthouses. (Don’t ask me where she got this idea to have a scrapbook of all the courthouses). For her quilt she did this:




All the quilts will be displayed in the new local quilt shop during Depot Days (my hometown’s version of Double Decker minus the music).
