Well, once again it’s Friday and I’m taking a half day. Tonight is Brian’s Sale Banquet at the Peabody and I want to get there in time to see the ducks leave the fountain. While Brian may make fun of me, I’m excited and he will be too once we get there. I hoping I can get some good pictures (maybe there won’t be too many kids) of the ducks.
I’m learning quickly that just because it’s a buyer’s market for a house that doesn’t mean the person who is selling will want to believe this. The house that we really, really wanted, we didn’t get. It was everything we were looking for, but the guy is being an idiot and thinking he will get his asking price (way more than what he paid for the house 2 years ago). He will be stuck with the house for a long time if he doesn’t come to realize that he is asking too much. The house has been on the market for 9 months and we were the first ones to make an offer on it. So it’s back to semi-square one. We still have 2 others in mind we really did like, one is the first we found that will need some updating, but in a way it might be fun to do together. I wish we could find time to drive around and look at the ones that are for sell by owner. If we go looking again this Sunday, maybe we can do that afterwards or next weekend when we will be in Tupelo.
