A case of 1 word = 2 meanings

My oldest niece is the funniest period. Since it's Monday everyone needs a laugh so I share with you my sister's blog post. This is Emma to a T!

"Daniel's mom is having a birthday soon and I am going to make her a cake. I finally decided how I was going to decorate it and I ran it past the official family party planner - my 3 year old daughter - to get her approval. I told her that I was going to make Nana a daisy cake. She told me that was a great idea. I thought, "Wow! That was easy." I figured she would insist on some kind of cartoon character, but she seemed fine with a flower cake. Then last night driving home from our friend's house, she tells me that she wants to wear her Donald Duck and Daisy Duck shirt to Nana's party. She gones on to tell me that Daisy's bow on the cake needs to be purple and her beak yellow. It then dawns on me that when I told her that I was going to make a daisy cake she took that to mean a Daisy Duck cake and not a daisy flower cake!! I have learned a valuable lesson, don't assume that your child has the same picture in her head as you when you tell her something!! :) "
