Almost the weekend

This week has been so slow. I guess it has to to with the fact that I have nothing to do right now at work and that makes for a very slow day. I'm the type of person who likes to say busy to help past the time.

I am looking forward, I know you all are too, to a long weekend. My parents are coming in town Saturday morning to stay the weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing them as to I haven't seen them since my niece's first birthday in April. I'm excited because this will give me an excuse to cook and not have tons of leftovers. I have most of the meals already planned (yes, I'm a planner). Saturday night we are going to Taylor since that is Dad's favorite place to eat in town (and one of mine as well).

Mom finished Allie's wedding present and will be bringing them with her this weekend. I just hope Allie likes them, they are a little different than the ones she has made in the past. I will finally get to try on my dress for the wedding and have Mom put on the finishing touches and then off the cleaners to be pressed. This is a very unique dress she claims. She has never made one like this before. But it's really pretty and looks good on me (if I do say so myself).
