Matt's Wedding

So, I go to Matt's wedding on Saturday. Not too bad of a drive as I thought, of course I over estimate and arrive an hour early--so that means shopping! All in all, the wedding went well. I was glad I arrived a little early, because I got to see Matt before hand. He was so cute all excited, he couldn't quit grinning. Man, I hope I have that one day. He didn't seem a bit nervous about any of it. Deidra, must have been really nervous, because during the exchanging of the rings, she put Matt's on the wrong hand. I don't think either one of the them noticed. The reception was unbelievably hot. Who in their right mind holds a wedding in the middle of July in the south, outside?

On my way to Birmingham, I thought I should have thought of the idea of just driving up to my parents' house instead of driving back to Oxford. But I still didn't know, and plus I didn't have clothes with me. I really wanted to stay in B'ham and go out with the people I hadn't seen in years, but at the same time I wanted to just go home. Well, I decided against staying in B'ham, and just drove up to my parents. Beats driving 3 and a half hours back home. Thankfully I found a sundress to wear home today, instead of wearing what I wore yesterday.

I got to catch up with some people I had not seen since high school and find out what everyone had been up to.

Then to top off my weekend, when I arrive at my parents', they inform me there was a family reunion today, and convinced me to go. So here is my funfilled weekend.

Edit: What groom emails someone the day after their wedding to thank them for showing up at the wedding when he should be on his honeymoon? Granted, I was happy to get an email from Matt, but WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE HONEYMOON! I hope Deidra realizes what a great man she married.
