Today we celebrated Zoey’s birthday!. This year I decided on a Dr. Seuss theme. It was actually very easy to decorate this year due to my sister had most of the decorations from a baby shower she hosted. We had a wonderful celebrating with family and close friends! Thank you to all who came out! In just a short few days, I’ll have a sweet two year old!
I will try not to do an over load of pictures.
I used all her Dr. Seuss books as decorations. I made truffla trees also.
I had two tall ones in the entry way and decorated the banister with mesh ribbon.
A couple of truffla trees in the living room. (Disregard the TV on.)
The CAKE! These pictures DO NOT do it justice. I am so thankfully I have an amazing sister who is talented enough to do this. And that she is willing to!
She molded and painted each character and the words by hand!
For the menu, I had food based on the books.
Hop On Pop Popcorn |
Truffla Fruit |
Grinch Spinach Dip |
Cat in the Hat Sausage Bumps! |
Pink Ink Lemonade |
Yertle the Turtles |
Green Egg & Ham Pretzals |
One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Goldfish |
She surprised us and knew what to do when it came to blowing out the candles. She LOVED her cake!
Zoey is very blessed to have a wonderful Aunt in my sister. Not only did she make an AWESOME cake, she made Zoey an AWESOME book. I’ll have to take close ups of the book later, but you can see a few of the pages here. Zoey was so excited when she opened this and saw it.
The front is a Mickey Ears with a Z in the middle.
Zoey’s Disney Book!
Each page is a different character.
Zoey had a wonderful 2nd birthday party! We will continue to celebrate all this week!
