12 Months = 1 Year

One year. 

One year ago this sweet, beautiful baby girl entered our world and stole our hearts.  At times I feel she should be older than the sweet year she is, then at other times it has gone by quickly.

I know I’m a bit behind on the blog, but with Zoey’s birthday and the holidays I have been swamped and tired.

Let’s see what Miss Zoey has been up to for the past month. 

Most exciting is she took her first steps at Thanksgiving!!  We just arrived at my parents’ house and she took a couple of steps thanks to my sister.  She has been cruising around for a good month or more but no steps until now.    I know it will be a short time before she is walking!  Crazy to think that she is at that stage. 

She cut 2 more teeth; not the front center like normal babies, the 2 on the side.  It looks like she has little fangs coming out.  Pretty cute if you ask me.  Now that she is getting more teeth, we are trying to give her more table food, but it’s hard since she doesn’t like to get her dainty fingers dirty.  She picks and chooses which foods she will feed herself.  There is very little food she turns down; she loves food.  She really likes things that have spice to them.

She is such a sweet little girl (hard to believe she is becoming a little girl instead of my baby).  She is full of expression and laughter.  There is nothing like hearing her sweet full laugh though out the house.  She get so tickled at times. 

Today we went for her 1 year well baby check up.  Zoey weighs 21 pounds 9 ounces; 50% percentile.  She is 30.5 inches long; 90% percentile.  She is a very healthy girl!  We got to ok to move over to whole milk; woo hoo!  We are going to start moving over to just sippy cups as well; I’m hoping this won’t be too bad.  She had to get her finger prink for a CBC and didn’t flinch at all.  Then the shots came and she screamed bloody murder. 

All in all, Zoey is a very healthy, happy little girl!  We are so blessed and thankful we have a healthy girl.
