10 Months!

10 Months!!  In two very short months my sweet little girl will be a year old!  I’m not sure I’m quite ready for that.

Zoey is doing so well; we honestly could not have asked for a better baby.  She is such a happy baby! I think she has grown some in the past month, but of course I can’t really tell.  She is still sleeping like a champ; 10-11 hours a night.  I’m a tad afraid of what it will be like when we move away from bottles at night.  She typically falls asleep while taking her bottle. 

We are doing a better job at introducing her to new “real” foods.  She LOVES scrambled eggs, only time she has ever whine for more food, mashed potatoes and gravy, pimento cheese, parmesan cheese, lemons, and hummus.  She is getting better with the texture issue; she typically has to take a bite or two before she will eat all of what we are offering.  

She has said 3 new words this month; “baba”, “baby”, and “naenae”.  Not sure what “naenae” is suppose to be, but she did do the “mm” sound a couple of times yesterday.  Maybe we are getting close to saying “mama”.  Woo hoo!!!!  Tonight she said “mama”!!!!!! 

She is clapping, shaking her head no, waving bye, pulling up, crawling, etc.   She has really improved on her standing alone in the past month.  She will stand for a minute or more without the support of anything.  She will also move around while standing; bending her knees; grabbing at things, clapping, etc.  She is getting better at walking with her walker too. 

I’ll admit; when I feel that Zoey isn’t progressing as she should be for her age, I start to freak out a bit.  Then like clock work, whatever it was that I was stressing over, she does.  It’s like she knows how to do it all along but doesn’t think it’s a big deal.  Then when she senses me worrying about it she does it as to say “Look Mama, I can do all those things!”.  Brian has to remind me of this every time.
