9 Months!

Another month has ticked on by!  Zoey is a ripe age of 9 months old!  This month has been busy full of learning new things!

Today (Sept. 20 when I originally wrote this) we went for her 9 month check up. She has slowed down on her growth.  She only grew a 1/4 of an inch in 3 months.  She is 27 1/4 inches tall and weighs 18 lb 7 oz.  Everything checked out great!

Just a few short days after turning 8 months, Zoey started to say Da-Da.  She already had Brian wrapped around his finger but now it’s even tighter.   She babbles a lot and tries to say other things, but nothing that I can make out yet.  About a week or so after that she learned to crawl.  She still not 100% into it and won’t run off, but she is mobile.  I believe it was a short 2 days after turning 8 months that she stood up for the first time in her bed.  Dennis was keeping her one day for us when she had her ear infection; yes another first in this month; and freaked him out.  He lowered her bed that day as well.  It took me some getting used, it was odd seeing it so low.  Zoey is a pro at pulling herself up on anything.  And now that she can crawl if we put her down in the middle of the floor, she will crawl over to her table and pull herself up before we know it.  She has started to walk a bit holding on to things.  I have a feeling she will be walking by her first birthday.
