Cannot believe my sweet baby girl is 8 months! She is such a sweet fun little girl. We love having her in our lives, it is never a dull moment around the house.
She is learning so much lately. She is starting to pull herself up. If you give her your hands, she will pull herself up into a standing position. She hasn’t quite figured out how to pull herself up from a sitting position by herself. But she is getting there. Until this happens we are still able to have her bed at the highest level, but as you can see it will happened soon!
In the last week she has started to really get the hang of standing up against something pretty good. She still is a little unstable but loves to be able to do this as long as you are there to catch her if she starts to fall.
Her favorite foods are applesauce, sweet potatoes, blueberries and yogurt, and just about anything you give her. We started meats this past week and she seems to love them; they smell like dog food to me. Yuck. She is eating more for each meal now too. She has been eating just one container per meal but now she will eat about one and a half. Reading is one of her favorite things to do. I have started laying in the floor with her and reading and she seems to like this better than sitting in my lap. She has a vast growing library. Over the weekend she started saying “da-da”. Brian is eating it up big time! I will say it is the cutest thing EVER hearing her say it. Hopefully soon I can get a video of her saying it.
A couple of weekends ago we took her to ride the carousal. She wasn’t so sure of it. Brian didn’t like it much; he didn’t realized the horse moved up and down. Before it got started, she was reaching for him wanting off. She is trying her best to crawl, but not there yet. I’m sure it will be anytime; she can get most anywhere she wants with a combination of rolling and half crawling. I’ll leave you with an assortment of pictures. (Click the larger ones to make them clearer. Not sure what is going on with that.)

What great photos! I especially love the one of the two of you two looking at the book and reading. She is so sweet, Leah.
