The Shop on Blossom Street

While out of town this past weekend, I was bad.  Instead of finishing reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone; I read The Shop on Blossom Street off DeAnne’s nook.

I have been wanting to read this book (and the others in the series) since I picked up the Knit Along with Debbie Macomber: The Shop on Blossom Street pattern book.  This book (both the novel and pattern book) is filled with baby afghans.  I picked it up when I decided to knit one for each of my dear sweet friends when they were pregnant. I feel in love with it instantly.  To this date, I have knitted four patterns from this book.  I hope to knit more for others when the time comes.  After reading the book, it was nice to know more about the patterns I had read about (from the pattern book) and knitted.

DeAnne had the second book in the series, A Good Yarn, on the nook as well.  So what did I do; start it.  I can’t wait till I either get my own nook or see DeAnne again so I can finish it.

On the knitting note, I frogged the socks I started for Brian when we were dating to start over. Maybe this time I can figure out how to do them correctly; it will be my first pair.  I have two more skeins to make one of me and one for either Brian or myself.
