This Memorial day Brian and I are spending the weekend visiting Casey & Michael and Lisa & Chip in Savannah. As much as I wish Casey & Michael live closer (same goes for Lisa & Chip) I’m glad we are able to visit a new place and get to spend time with wonderful friends!

We are splitting up the trip tonight by staying in Atlanta. Silly as it sounds this will be the longest road trip (not flying) that Brian and I have taken together. I’m looking forward to it. I do wish that I didn’t get carsick so I could read, knit, or cross-stitch when it wasn’t my turn to drive. I do get bored quickly if we lag in conversation. Once of these days when I’m close to my destination, I’m going to try to knit to see if it makes me carsick. (I’m also hoping to give the nook a try when we (mom, dad, & sister) go to Shreveport for a wedding. DeAnne says she can read using that without getting carsick.)
Last weekend we started painting the guest room. All that is left is me finishing painting the trim and the doors. I will admit, the last thing I want to do when I get home from work is paint, so it’s still in progress. Hopefully I will be able to finish next weekend.
I’m headed out for the weekend! Chris is letting me leave early..woo hoo!!! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!

The nook is the Barnes & Noble e-reader. Sort of like the Kindle but different. We had such a great time this weekend!
