Over the weekend, we help celebrate the upcoming birth of Mary Parker, soon-to-be, daughter of Curt and Ashley. They had a wonderful turn out and received many lovely gifts to preparer and pamper Mary Parker. I’ll have to say personally the best gift of the night was my gift, her blanket. I know I’m bias. :) Tia was cracking me up saying she is expecting one of her own and cannot wait open it. I hope she likes it, first one with an actual “design” and blue. Hopefully after I finish with all the other projects I have going on and wish to do I will be able to catch up and create a stash of them for upcoming (while from now I hope so I can have time) babies.
I’m thrilled to say I decided on a fabric for my guest bedroom, it’s one of the one I had a few weeks ago on here. I FINALLY got to make it out to Premier Prints. If you love fabric, Premier Prints is great to go and look. I found so much I would love to redo every room in. If we ever have kids, I will be heading up there and having a crisis trying to decide which prints to choose. I’m going to try to go back end of April (when I’m off) to find fabric for new cushion for the patio furniture. I’m telling you, go look. Hopefully Mom will get a good report from the doctor tomorrow and will get her cast off so she can begin sewing all these curtains for me!
Speaking of my parents, we are heading to Hartselle this weekend for DeAnne’s birthday. I’m hoping we won’t be on the go the whole time. Yet I will be hitting up Target to check out their new Liberty of London line. Oh my. I found bedding I’m hoping I can talk B into letting me get for our room. I’m in the mood from something a little more airy and springy. Oh, and some super cute rain boot. Plus I’m sure I can find about 100 other things I “need” there too. I have to save up for my Target trips.
B and I have are beginning our count down till our vacation. Beach here we come!!! I feel like it’s been a while since we have been on vacation. I’m hoping the weather is perfect and warm. We both are so ready to hit the road. Then just a few weeks after that we are heading to Savannah to see Casey (and Michael) and meet up with Lisa (and Chip). I also cannot wait to celebrate Lisa’s big 3-0 in May as well!!!
This afternoon after the gym, I was going to work on cleaning out one of the bigger flower beds but it was too damp for me to really get into it (raking leaves, etc) so I sowed grass seed in the backyard. Fingers cross it grows. I would love to have a grassy noel in backyard. It would complete it once I get everything else. While on the subject of yards, evidently our front yard is a type of grass that is hard to work with. I can’t remember what kind the yard guy (I found a guy to come spray for weeds) said, I just know it’s not Bermuda or Zoysia grass. Sigh. Hopefully after a year or more we can get it looking great! I’m willing to do whatever he suggest to help out. I need to get my herb seeds set up in the starter boxes soon. I’m even tempted to set out some peppers, tomatoes, and blueberries in planters on the front entry. I am very limited with full sunlight and I need something there to fill out the look.
Sorry for the long post, but once I started writing I kept thinking more to share.
