Where did the wonderful weather from the weekend go? It was great to see the sun out and be almost near 70 degrees Saturday! My parents came in town Friday night to celebrate Brian’s birthday and visit with us. I didn’t realize it until then it had been since the summer they had been here. Crazy how quickly the time flies by! We enjoyed a good game of dominoes after dinner. Saturday Mom and I headed out to look for fabric for curtains. (I guess I never realized before but MAN fabric for curtains is not cheap. Granted I know I have floor length windows that add to that but geez.) I LOVE the fabric I got for the office. I wish I had thought to take a picture of it to share. If you remember our office looks like this
and this
You can’t get a good true feel of the color but I got a beautiful stripped print for the curtains. The strip is the same yellow, blue, red, green, and tan. I cannot wait to get the new windows in (more on that in a minute) and the curtains up. We moved a lamp in by the bed (see above location) and added a new lampshade that adds to the room.
We looked for fabric for the dining room, but I just didn’t find anything I liked. I don’t have an accent color in that room (never even crossed my mind I needed one) and I really do not want to go with white, but I probably will. I really, really LOVE these (in white) from Pottery Barn but I need 6 panels and I’m not ready just yet to spend that much. They are smocked! What is there not to love about these.
I really wish Premier Prints was open on Saturday or at least till 6 during the week so I could run by there to look. For the guest room I want to do green and brown. I want to paint the walls green so I would prefer to have mainly brown in the curtains. Here are a few I have found off Premier’s site. What’s your thoughts? I need to send Brian to get samples so I can see them in person.
I really need to pick out the fabric first before I paint so I know it matches. I found some fabric I want to pick up to attempt to make cushions for the chairs outside. Mom explained to me how to make them (without a pattern) and it doesn’t sound too hard. Just add it to the list of projects. :)
Dad and Brian did little fix-it projects Saturday while we were out running errands. I’m thrilled that I know have a light in my hall closet again!
Here’s to hoping for another beautiful weekend!

I just got some linen/cotten ones from pottery barn that were on sale but i'm not so sure they go well with my room. they're a neutral brown but the wall is a neutral green and they kinda blend too much. I like the damask print fabric you posted, maybe the green or white the best... sounds fun!
