Yay, it’s finally Friday! This week has seemed long, even though it was a 4 day work week. Yesterday I thought it was Friday and what a disappointment that was. After work we are headed to pick up Emma for the weekend. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good weekend.
Sunday we watched Julie & Julia, I loved it. I’m not a huge fan of French cuisine, but after watching the movie I do want to try my hand in a few of Julia Child’s recipes. So my question to you all, has any of you ever tried some of her recipes? If so which ones?
I love Lisa’s post from yesterday, 2010 So Far, I only have one thing I’m proud of so far this year. I have started running. Now I know I’m not a runner yet or even running yet but I’m learning. I started last Friday and I thought I was going to die. I have been walking at a steady pace for 10 minutes, then running for 2, then walking for 3 for 30 minutes. Yesterday was my third day of this and I was actually able to do the running without holding on to the treadmill. (Yes you can make fun of me for that, but I have NEVER ran long distance in my life before so I’m way out of shape for this. I had to hold on to keep up and not fall. :) ) I didn’t hurt as bad during the 2 minutes of running. I’m not quite ready to start running the 3, but I’m getting there. I have also learned that you need true running shoes! The shoes I ran in Friday were at least 7 years old and never were “running” shoes. Sunday I picked up a pair of Asics Gels and LOVE them. I feel like I’m running lighter.
It’s time for me to head home for the day! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
