Clarksdale recap.

It’s such a rainy, cold day today. It’s that time of year where the holidays make it hard to want to work. It starts to slow down and the days just drag on. This time of year is probably my favorite all year long. The cooking, baking, decorating, parties, family, giving, and much more brighten my days.

Lisa and I had a great weekend in Clarksdale. I always enjoy staying at the Shack Up Inn. I wish I had taken more pictures of the weekend, but alas here are a few.

The Pinetop, the shack Lisa and I stayed in.

Such a wonderful little bottletree. I cannot wait till Santa brings me mine. :)

The Cotten Gin. The lobby and the Bins are located here.

One of the set tables at McCarty Cafe. I love how they set them.

I’ll leave everyone with a funny Christmas spotlight. Chris, my manager, sent this out to us this morning. I believe it’s from a friend of his in Texas.
"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

Those decorations are PRICELESS! Crack me up! It does look super real.
