Labor Day Weekend

I love long weekends! Only negative thing is I never want to go back to work after them!

We had a good weekend, busy, fun, and productive all rolled into one. Saturday we cleaned house, ran a few errands, and had Dennis and Nona over for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We watched the State game. I don’t mind cheering for other SEC teams as long as they are not playing my Rebels. I’m so happy we finally pulled through and won the game Sunday. It started out rocky, but they managed to win.

I have a tip for anyone who buys wedding presents from Belk or just buy for their selves there. Before purchasing anything from Belk in the Home Department (i.e. china, crystal, or flatware) ask if they have it in stock and if not in stock, if it’s a prestige item. If it is a prestige item (I wish I had a list but I don’t, but I do know that Vera Wang Crystal is one of them and some china is too) you will not be able to get it, even if they tell you they can order, don’t let them. They will then call you back months later saying that you will have to pay shipping if they order for you. (Which I don’t understand if it’s not even being shipped to you or if they even get it from another store they still make you pay shipping.) What gets me is they knew this before taking my money! Normally I would not be upset about it, but the only reason I had bought 9 glasses at the time was I got 20% off of them and it was a buy 3 get one 1 free deal. So this means if I got my money back I would not be able to get the same amount of glasses for the same price at a store that had them in stock. After 2 hours of having them call certain stores where I knew I could have people pick up the glass (so I wouldn’t have to pay shipping). I got all 9 of my glasses between 3 stores! How crazy is that! Now I just have to find other stores that carry my crystal or order online to complete my sets.
