House update and Shower recap

What a wonderful weekend! I will admit I was a little bit nervous and stressed last week in fear the house would not be ready for the shower on Saturday. Everything was done on time with time to spare on Saturday! Brian and I both worked very hard on getting everything put up, organized, cleaned, and etc. I am loving having a clean house again. I still have a few boxes to go through that are in the guest bedroom, but that won’t be so bad.

Here are a few pictures of the kitchen with new counter tops and flooring. I love it!! I cannot wait to see what it looks like with the walls painted (green, think McCarty green/Peter’s green) and white cabinets. I’m hoping in the next couple of weeks we can start on the painting.

New floor. The tile is called Tuscan Bone. It is a rough surface with jagged edges.

Back splash behind the sink. We sort of wish we had done tile all around underneath the cabinets.

The shower was wonderful. Jennifer has such sweet friends who came to celebrate with her on the upcoming arrival of Caroline. She got several fun gifts and practical ones too. I was very happy everything turned out so well due to the last minute change of venue. Here is a few pictures from the shower.
