A little comic relief

It is taking me longer than expected to write the post about the wedding and honeymoon. In the meantime, here is a little comic relief for you.

Last night, Allie and I went for a drink to catch up. I ended up driving Brian’s car since he was parked behind me. On the drive home, as we are turning on to Robins Street, I see blue lights in my rear view mirror. Not something you want to see when you have had 2 glasses of wine (thankfully I was fine). I was pretty sure I came to a complete stop at the Stop sign, so I couldn’t think of what I did wrong. As soon as the officer came up, he tells me he pulls me over because I have a busted tail light. I tell him, yes sir I know this. I’m in my husband’s car and we have a new tail light at home and my father-in-law is coming in town this weekend to install it for us. All this is true. As I had him my license and insurance, I tell him that the insurance is not for this car, but mine and that my husband does not keep his card in the car. Of course I know the officer doesn’t think I’m telling the truth. He walks away and comes back to tell me that the insurance card is not for this car. I politely explain to him again, that yes that is for my car that I’m in my husband’s car and we have not merged insurances yet due to getting married only 3 weeks ago. The whole time I’m praying that he does not give me a ticket. He comes back and gives me a warning. I swear he did not believe me at all about the tail light being at the house. He tells me again that I need to get it fix. I kindly tell him thank you and yes sir we have the light and it will be installed this weekend. What I get for taking Brian's car. Amazing how he has yet to be pulled over for that and I do.

What a fun way to end an already bad day.

I enjoyed catching up. Let's do it again. Maybe I should drive next time ;) Good Luck with the move this weekend.

that's awesome that you didn't get a ticket! Michael is a cop magnet and I had to drive his car the other morning because he was parked behind me and sure enough a cop ended up behind me. Not much happened other than a little paranoia! haha...
