Well, I thought work would be slow this week, but I have spent the morning troubleshooting one error. On top of that, I woke up with a migraine. Thankfully that is gone, but the issue I’m working on is not yet solved.
This week is a big week for Ole Miss, Oxford, and the country—the first presidential debate!! The town is already crawling with the press and more to come as it gets closer to time. While I’m thrilled Ole Miss this is a moment in history for us, I’m already annoyed with how the press is portraying Ole Miss. Yes, we have a history with racism, but we have moved past that and trying each day to improve that even more. Yet, this is what they focus on when writing about Ole Miss and the debate. Here is the first article I have seen about the debate and Ole Miss. I’m hoping I can make it to some of the events around town and on campus leading up to the debate. As a local, I’m happy this is happening, but I wish I could get around town without having to add 10 minutes on to my time and deal with people who can’t drive.
