Catching up.

Ok, now that everything seems to settle down I can provide some updates. The weekend was one to remember. Brian was full of surprises all weekend. Not only did he shock me when he proposed, he got me again Saturday night. When he proposed, I thought he was joking and the ring was fake. This was the last thing on my mind; I did not expect him to propose anytime soon. I had just almost gotten over the shock of being engaged when Brian got me again.

He had told me that we were going to go eat dinner with Kevin and Laura that night. When we got to the restaurant I asked if we should wait or go ahead and sit down; Brian said I think they are already here. I mentioned how I didn’t see their car and he said we weren’t meeting them. I was confused and just kept following him to the table….well it was my parents and his parents. I was confused. It didn’t understand it at all. I didn’t know how he had this all planned. He is amazing. It was a great surprised and I’m glad our parents finally got to meet. Just one of the many reasons why I love him so much.

The only planning we have done is set a date and place, April 18, 2009 in Oxford. Now that we have a date, I feel somewhat (still not in planning mode) that I can start planning. I guess I just need to jump in and start doing things. As silly as it sounds, I just wish I could wait till closer to time and just do it then, but I know that’s not going to happen. I will be calling on all my friends who have gotten married recently to give advice and help. I’m also hoping that I do not become one of those people who wedding plans are all I talk about. I promise that I won’t bore everyone with all the details!

Wow, that is really sweet! What a great way for the families to get to know one another.
