I’ll go ahead and answer all the inquiring minds out there, no I didn’t get a ring for Valentine’s Day. I did however have a fabulous one. I knew Brian was up to something and we were going someplace, but had no idea until the Friday. He told me I had to take off a half day so we could leave early. I had no idea where we could be going since I knew we had to be back Saturday night for a Stock the Bar party for friends in Tupelo; we couldn’t be going far. As we drove a few miles down Hwy 6, Brian told me we were going to Clarksdale! I’m sure many who do not know much about Clarksdale are thinking WHAT?! We were going to stay at the Shack Up Inn and dinner at Madidi. This time we did not stay in one of the shacks, but the Cotton Gin. We had a great time just sitting on the balcony before dinner. I wish the afternoon had not been overcast so the sunset could have been better, but it was still a pleasant afternoon. Dinner was fabulous. I had the Pan-Seared Bass, which was perfectly cooked, while Brian had the Crispy Fried Pork Chops. We had nice surprise when we looked over at the table next to us and saw Morgan Freeman having dinner. (I think he was having dinner with Houston Nutt and some of the other coaches due to a conversation I overheard the next day at Ground Zero.) I will say that Morgan Freeman is a trouper about being asked for pictures. When he got up to leave I think everyone (not us) in the restaurant asked for a picture. After a filling meal, we decided not to head to Ground Zero that night, but to have lunch there the next day.
Neither one of us was ready to leave nor head back to reality on Saturday. I wish we could have picked up and traveled somewhere else. Brian did very well this Valentines’. Oh for pictures click here.

Pictures link doesn't seem to be working. Just fyi!
Well, that place looks interesting... heh. I'll have to take my wife there sometime, I bet she'd love it.
