Yay, it's Friday! Today is the first day of the week which it has not rained. We have been blessed to have so much rain this week. It has felt more like winter than fall with the rain and cold weather. I was able to pull out sweaters the end of this week and bundle up for work.
Work has been busy for a change this week; I'm going to have to get back in the swing of having multiple things to do next week. I am looking forward to starting my new position next Thursday that I'm already jumping in before the official start date. I realized yesterday after work, it was my 3-year anniversary with the company. In the 3 years I have been here, I have switched positions 3 times. I have enjoyed the 2 positions I have held so far and looking forward to jumping back into the role of development. I get to improve my skills with Microsoft reporting services and my SQL skills. I will say, SQL is one of my favorite programming languages out there.
This weekend will be another busy one. Tomorrow Brian and I are heading up to Memphis to the zoo for his work’s family day. We are headed to Tupelo where Allie and I are going to go to the Celebration Village that afternoon; then we have an engagement party for a friend of Brian’s that evening in Tupelo. I have a lunch after services for the Friendspeak program Sunday at one of the members’ home. I thought when I got out of college and older life would slow down, but I really believe it has gotten more hectic and busy since graduating. I guess it’s because I do not have the day to get personal stuff done like I used to. Sigh, I am wishing for a free weekend, but looks like I won’t get one of those for a very long time.
