Red shoe disease

I have started a "disease"--red patent leather shoes. When I was in NY in the Spring, I finally found a pair of red patent leather heels. They are fabulous! I wore them to work yesterday and our CIO saw them and called them "roach killers" and made fun of them for a couple of minutes. Today, it seems like everyone now has a pair of them. I ran into the CIO again today and he asked what was up with the "red shoe disease". Looks like I have started something in the office.

This weekend has already been long. Not sure why it seems like the days are going by slowly (maybe it is because I'm looking forward to the weekend). My mom came into town yesterday to stay with me a few days. She is sewing some during the day, enjoying time to herself. My sister said she was ready for another trip to Oxford so she can read and do what she wants (unfortunately that means the girls won't be coming). Funny how my place has become the place to come when you want to get away.

If I can just make it though the next hour (please let the call only last that long) without falling asleep, I will be doing good.
