Today was the first sick day I have taken that I did not attempt to work. Granted it might have been due to the fact that I slept all day--it was great! This morning I had an upper GI done to see if what has been causing the pain I have been having. I know I have acid reflux, but when you wake up in the middle of the night and it feels like a knife is stabbing you, something is wrong. All went well with the procedure. I do not have any ulcers, which is good, but now I have to have an ultrasound done on my gall bladder. I really hope nothing is found.
It hit me the other day, that I only have eight more days left to work this year. What a great feeling!
All my Christmas shopping is complete, except for a few small things. I need to get a start on the baking. There is so many goodies to cook! This weekend is my extended family Christmas. This is one of my favorite times of years. The majority of my family gets together. Instead of playing Dirty Santa this year, we all gave money we would have spent on our gifts and adopted four children from the local area. I am looking forward to seeing everyone, playing games, and sharing memories. Mom let me in on some of the questions they (the aunts and uncles) are going to ask the grandkids (me and my cousins). Mom has some of her own for her and her siblings. I just miss my grandparents this time of year--there are so many wonderful memories.

Good luck with the tests - I'm sure things will turn out just fine.
