It’s a new year! I’m big on fresh clean starts, no matter what it is. I’m looking forward to finishing updating the house, traveling some, and getting more settled. We are starting back on the house this weekend. We plan to paint the laundry room and have all the windows (that should have been painting last fall) done by Monday. I feel this is all doable since the laundry room is small and some of the windows already have a coat on them. It will just take getting back into the momentum of working on the house. My goal is to be 100% done with the inside by late March (I hope sooner but I know things will come up). We honestly do not have that much left on it. I want to be done by March so I can start focusing on the yard. I cannot wait to do this so I can show you those fun before pictures. I love my yard (and have a great one if I can brag for a moment) but it has been awhile since anyone gave it any love. Lisa, you can bet I’m going to be calling on you for help on relocating some stuff, like those antique (climbing?) roses in the back yard.
I’m praying that the fix for the washer (We bought a front loading one at Thanksgiving and have had issues with it ever since. When it is it on the final spin it just goes crazy. It vibrates and walks everywhere.) will work tonight. The nice man at Sears asked if we removed the packing bolts. I know I didn’t and Brian said he didn’t. So let’s all hope that once we remove them it will all be fine! I hate not being able to use the final spin, soaking wet (and I mean soaking) clothes into a dryer is neither fun nor good. Hopefully we will be able to stack them once we paint the laundry room and verify that the washer does not go crazy; last thing I want is to stack them and the dryer fall off.
Note: Before I had a chance to post this we tested out the washer, and it WORKS!!! I’m so happy about this. No more worried that my house is about to take off into space or the dryer is going to break the window.
